The Story of the Number Nine (9) for Kindergarten
The teacher reads the story and writes it on the board, draws a 9, and says:
The number Nine came along sad, and his friend asked him: “What’s wrong, my friend? Why are you sad?”
The number Nine said: “My friends lied to me.” His friend replied in surprise: “What did they lie to you about?”
He answered: “They promised that I’d go with them to the farm today, but they didn’t keep their promise — they went and left me behind.”
His friend felt sad and said: “But why would they do that and break their promise?”
Just then the friends arrived carrying a basket with nine apples in it. They saw the number Nine crying, and he told them the whole story.
They laughed and said: “But we didn’t lie to you! Here we are, coming to take you with us to the farm — there’s a surprise for you!”
And after nine minutes, all his friends appeared carrying nine candles to celebrate the number Nine’s special day.
The number Nine was overjoyed and learned never to think badly of anyone and never to rush to judge people. He apologized to them, thanked them, and spent a happy time with them.
