The Story of the Number Eight (8) for Kindergarten
The teacher reads the story and writes it on the board, draws an 8, and says:
The teacher asked his pupils to write their names eight times in their notebooks as homework.
But the number Eight kept playing and playing and neglected his homework.
At school the teacher asked his pupils: “Who among you did their homework?”
All the pupils raised their hands except the number Eight, so the teacher gave every pupil a gift — except the number Eight.
The number Eight began to cry sadly, and the teacher said: “This is what the careless pupil gets.” So he apologized and promised his teacher he would never do it again.
