كَانَ فِي الْغَابَةِ غَزَالَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ تَلْعَبُ وَتَجْرِي. (In the forest there was a little gazelle playing and running.)

شَاهَدَتْ الْغَزَالَةُ غُرَابًا صَغِيرًا يَبْكِي. (The gazelle saw a little crow crying.)

سَأَلَتْ الْغَزَالَةُ الْغُرَابَ: (The gazelle asked the crow:)

لِمَاذَا تَبْكِي؟ (Why are you crying?)

قَالَ الْغُرَابُ: كُنْتُ أَقِفُ عَلَى غُصْنٍ ضَعِيفٍ وَسَقَطْتُ. (The crow said: I was standing on a weak branch and I fell.)

قَالَتْ الْغَزَالَةُ: حَاوِلْ أَنْ تَطِيرَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى. (The gazelle said: Try to fly again.)
قَالَتْ الْغَزَالَةُ: طِرْ يَاغُرَابُ طِرْ. (The gazelle said: Fly, O crow, fly.)
حَاوَلَ الْغُرَابُ مَرَّةً وَمَرَّةً حَتَّى طَارَ إِلَى غُصْنٍ قَوِيٍّ. (The crow tried again and again until it flew up to a strong branch.)
شَكَرَ الْغُرَابُ الْغَزَالَةَ. (The crow thanked the gazelle.)
