World Arabic Language Day
One year, the theme of the celebration was “Arabic, the Language of Poetry and the Arts.” UNESCO highlighted the rich contributions of the Arabic language to enriching cultural diversity through its various forms of poetry and literary arts, as well as its contribution to the production of knowledge. To mark World Arabic Language Day — celebrated every year on December 18 — UNESCO organizes a series of panel discussions and cultural events at its headquarters in Paris.
