along with a song about the number — so that teaching the Arabic numbers becomes more fun and easier. And of course, the teacher will want the child to practice through a coloring activity about the number.

The Story of the Number One (1) for Kindergarten

The teacher reads the story, writes it on the board, and says:

The number (1) was happily playing soccer with his friends. While they were playing, number (one) kicked the ball hard with his foot,
and the ball rolled out toward the street. So number 1 ran after it to finish the game and dashed into the street, which was crowded with cars. A speeding car came straight toward 1
and hit him, so he fell to the ground and his foot was injured, and he was taken to the hospital. The doctor said to him, “One, you must not play in the street when it is crowded with cars — that is very dangerous.”
He replied in pain, “I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.”
Here the teacher asks, “What do we learn from the story, little ones?”

  • Do not play with a ball in the street.
  • Play ball only in places set aside for it.
  • Pay attention at places where cars cross.
  • Follow the rules of the traffic light.
